Biopharma Focus on Future Recordings
NIBRT hosted the Biopharma Focus on the Future Conference, a landmark event bringing together leading experts in the field of biopharmaceutical manufacturing to explore the latest advances in biotechnology and manufacturing science.
The conference was a significant opportunity to showcase Ireland’s thriving biopharma research ecosystem and further develop the country’s reputation as a hub of innovation and expertise in the field of biopharma manufacturing.
The recorded speaker sessions are now available for all who register.
These sessions include topics such as:
Gene Therapy Renaissance: A snapshot of preclinical development to clinical applications - Prof Jane Farrar, Trinity College Dublin
Reprogramming natural killer cells for next-generation immunotherapies of cancer - Dr Sandro Matosevic, Purdue University
Development, Approvals, Access & Prospects of Engineered T Cell Therapies - Prof Bruce Levine, University of Pennsylvania
SFI Industry Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) Fellowship awards
Dr Nicholas Donohue a post-doctoral researcher in the NIBRT Cell Engineering Laboratory led by Prof. Niall Barron, and in collaboration with APC has secured funding through Science Foundation Ireland’s (SFI) Industry Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) Fellowship awards.
This programme aims to support academia-industry interactions in order to address industry-informed challenges. Award recipients have the opportunity to spend a period of time in industry to undertake collaborative research that will allow for knowledge exchange, upskilling and sharing of expertise.
NIBRT at the American Society for Mass Spectrometry Annual Conference
NIBRT will take part in the 71st American Society for Mass Spectrometry Annual Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics, Houston, Texas, from the 4th to the 8th of June.
NIBRT Principal Investigator, Dr Jonathan Bones and NIBRT's Characterization and Comparability Group members will deliver presentations and six posters throughout the four-day event, addressing a vast range of experiments on mass spectrometry, targeting cell and gene therapy elements and characterizations for biopharma production.
Dr Bones will present "Host cell protein (HCP) profiling and quantitation in gene therapy products on a novel high-resolution accurate mass platform", and NIBRT researchers, Dr Jakes and Dr Carillo will present "Characterisation and sequencing of modified large mRNA products by nanoflow liquid chromatography coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry"; and "Exploring Charge Detection Mass Spectrometry on Liquid Chromatography Time Scales".
NIBRT is also attending the European Manufacturing Summit in Berlin from the 31st -1st of June.
Improve Your Process Control Skills with NIBRT and Qubicon
